Accounting Master's Degree

Management positions in private accounting often call for a Master of Science (MS) or Master of Arts (MA) degree. In addition to a baccalaureate degree in accounting or financial management, specialized graduate degrees in accounting information systems, taxation, controllership, or forensic accounting provide a targeted education for information systems auditors, tax specialists, financial control officers, and forensic accountants. Masters degrees in accounting are also frequently pursued by would-be CPAs as they work to complete the 150-semester hour requirement outlined in the Uniform Accountancy Act.
